AAAAHHCHOOOO!! Dang. I hope I’m not getting sick. Uh, my friend, you already are! The question is, from what ailment are you suffering? This time of year, the holidays and early to mid winter, it’s very likely to be influenza. Right, you have the flu!
How can you tell if that one sneeze is an allergy to your neighbor’s wandering cat or something more serious? If you have the flu you are very likely to experience some or even all of the following symptoms. Is it hot in here, or do I have a fever? Hack, snort, where did this cough come from? My nose is awfully runny, my head is stuffy and my throat hurts. Where is my hankie? My head is aching and the rest of me feels like I got run over by a truck. My muscles are sore! Man, I’m beat! Why am I so tired? To make things even worse, some people may have vomiting and diarrhea. But this is more common in children than adults.
Don’t take chances though. If you don’t have all of these symptoms you can’t assume that you don’t really have the flu. This is especially true in the case of exhibiting a fever. You can have the flu without the fever. How can you tell for sure? Go to the doctor and let them check you out.
